FREEDOM ABROAD PROJECT

“I Have Sworn upon the alter of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man”
Thomas Jefferson, Author of the Declaration of Independence.

The Freedom Abroad Project has been formed for the purpose of providing information to people around the world about what and who America is.
With particular emphasis to be given to informing people in Muslim communities, as well as anyone else who might be susceptible to the propaganda about America currently being espoused by terrorist organizations and their sympathizers that incite hate and violence towards America, the Freedom Abroad Project recognizes that many around the globe are not aware of the basic history of our country. America is a most unique country due to the fact it is based on a set of philosophical ideas, unique to the world at its founding, that have proved to be so beneficial to the people of this country while at the same time providing inspiration to people in other countries who seek justice in their lives. America is a magnificent model for any nation that seeks to provide freedom and justice to its inhabitants.
The basic philosophical idea of America is that All people are equal in the eyes of God and thus are entitled to certain "Natural Rights".
We believe that all people are to treated equally by the courts along with all other governmental institutions. That man is born with certain freedoms that no Government or institution may be allowed to infringe on. These freedoms are expressed in some of our nations most famous and well regarded documents such as "The Declaration of Independence", "The U.S. Constitution", and "The Bill of Rights". They are also well explained through other publications such as "Common Sense", by Thomas Paine. (This pamphlet that was widely distributed throughout the colonies in 1776. It gave such compelling reasons for America's revolution with England and so easily expressed the concepts of the rights of man.)
There also is the "Federalist Papers", a series of letters published throughout America prior to the adoption of the US Constitution which attempted to consider and explain the "proper role" of Government in the affairs of men.
There are other historical writings that explain our nations ideals too, such as: The Declaration of Rights and Grievances * Articles of Confederation * The Emancipation Proclamation
The Freedom Abroad Project was created by American citizens for the purpose of informing people of other nations about America, in particular its history and shared values. We believe that a better understanding between different peoples promotes peace and improves all people’s lives.
